Integrative Alexander Technique (AT), is an application of the Alexander Technique as taught by AT teacher Cathy Madden.  It brings your needs and desires, front and centre to the learning experience.  Explore an everyday activity such as walking, lifting, sitting, reading, chopping vegetables, etc. or a more specialised activity such as giving a presentation, playing a musical instrument, performing a monologue or a sporting activity.  It may be a “way of being and acting” exploration - for example, the desire to have more options in a social or work situation, cope with loud noises or make decisions.

Integrative Alexander Technique often involves replacing or updating ideas that may be interfering with the quality of your activities.

Interference may occur due to:-

~ misunderstandings about body design and function

~ obsolete or inappropriate movement or thought patterns

 ~ unclear intention

 ~ misconceived conditions and circumstances

 ~ psychological or emotional patterning
